The Church Year outlines the biblical narrative of God’s saving work in Israel, Christ, and the Church. Sacred Roots is the term we employ for the Great Tradition of the Church, that deposit of faith and practice that shapes her life in the world. This year we focus on the objective side of the biblical account, i.e., the Story of Scripture revealing the triune God’s saving work in history culminating in Christ’s atonement for the world. Next year we’ll concentrate on its subjective side, i.e., the Church’s faithful, corresponding response in its confession, worship, spiritual formation, and witness that expresses its lived faith in the world..
Sacred Roots: The Sovereign Love of God Online Annual
Each year, the TUMI community of missionaries deliberately join hands and hearts to share a spiritual quest and journey, to seek the Lord together in Scripture and sacrament, and to walk together in our efforts to be formed spiritually through the spiritual disciplines. All our practices, services, and activities are integrated together, informed by our commitment to walking the Christ life according to the rhythms of the Church Year. Join us in our daily walk together by visiting tumi.org/today every day. If you want to see the video teachings in a complete playlist (as they are added), here is a link you can bookmark or share.

Sacred Roots: The Sovereign Love of God
Church Year Calendar 2020-2021
Our 2020-21 Church Year Calendar, Our Sacred Roots: The Sovereign Love of God beautifully displays key symbols the Church has used to highlight the biblical Story of God’s sovereign love to save and transform his creation, his people, and his Son. The 2020-21 calendar blends together liturgical readings, biblical theology, and spiritual devotion. It outlines the traditional feast days and celebrations of the liturgical Church calendar, from Advent to the Reign of Christ the King, along with the weekly texts of the Revised Common Lectionary Year B. Come, join us as we use the symbols of the Church to reflect upon the sovereign love of God displayed in his saving work in Jesus Christ, which brings salvation to all who believe!

Book Reading
Our reading materials this liturgical year focus on the Sovereign Love of God, in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, testified to through His Holy Scriptures. We will read books on the Story of God, and how this Story is the foundation of our faith, which is ancient, and knowing this story will help to renew our and revitalize our churches in Christ.
