Week 44: Tuesday

We discipline ourselves for godliness. We have been redeemed by God that we might live a life worthy of God and our Lord Jesus Christ, to live a life of excellence, to possess a compelling testimony to the truth and person of Christ and his Kingdom. We pursue a life of dedication, discipline, and sacrifice based on the truth of God’s Word in Christ and in Scripture, where one’s life is lived in a manner worthy of the Lord Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit, for the purpose of demonstrating Christlike character in the roles, relationships, and responsibilities that God provides, done for the glory of God.

You have never met a human being for whom God is not the Savior. He is the Savior of all. He is especially the Savior of those who respond to him because in us the salvation finds good soil to grow. However, let us never think that God will not or cannot save someone. He is the Savior of all.

Save us, Lord, and not only us but the whole world. We pray that all would come to repentance and believe in the name of Jesus.

Tuesday: John 15.18-17.26

If the life of Christ is in a man, it expresses itself like “a well of water springing up” or bubbling over.

~ Roy J. Fish and J. E. Conant, Every Member Evangelism for Today. Eugene, OR: Wipf & Stock, 1976. p. 42.
